translates to the 'Historical Bath of Kemeralti.'
The hamam is situated somewhere behind the
Salepcioglu Mosque. It is also known as Istankoy
Hamam, which was its former name. Aside from serving as a
community gathering point, there isn't much to
recommend about the venue itself. While the area
offers a charming atmosphere for wandering, the bath
itself is quite neglected, so do not expect it to
fulfill your ideal tourist experience of a Turkish
bath. Kemeralti is a historic area in Izmir's
central district of Konak, known for its traditional
shopping quarter with narrow streets filled with
cinemas, cafes, spice shops, souvenir shops, and
more.
